Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Darrel Roscoe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buakaw Banchamek! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roscoe keeps the fight on the outside. Banchamek misses the jab. Roscoe moves away from the strike by Banchamek. Banchamek misses with an uppercut
and Roscoe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roscoe winds up and cracks Banchamek with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Roscoe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Roscoe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roscoe perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banchamek on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Roscoe slips a nice elbow through Banchamek's hands, connecting with Banchamek's forehead. Roscoe is figuring out what he wants to do next. Roscoe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Roscoe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roscoe trying to control the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roscoe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roscoe slows the pace down in half guard. Nice strikes from Roscoe there. Banchamek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roscoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Roscoe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Roscoe is trying for a kimura here. Banchamek looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Roscoe wins by kimura!
