Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Handle (ranked 2965 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Rampage (ranked 7264 p4p, 0 weight class). Handle comes to the cage accompanied by Right On. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 39 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Handle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lewis Rampage!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Handle.
Handle lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Handle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rampage throws a counter combo.
Handle scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Handle misses with a straight left.
Rampage drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Handle defends it well.
Rampage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Handle is fending him off so far but Rampage persists. Nope, Handle circles away and we're back to standing.
Handle throws a series of punches but Rampage moves out of range.
Handle moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Handle waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rampage.
Nice takedown defense from Handle. No joy for Rampage on that attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rampage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Handle shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rampage is trying to defend but Handle finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Handle feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rampages jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rampage gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Handle.
Handle scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rampage in his tracks.
Handle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rampage.
Max Handle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lewis Rampage.
Handle sizes up Rampage with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Handle cracks Rampage with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rampage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Handle.

Handle throws a head kick but Rampage moves out of range.

Rampage is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rampage ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rampage tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Handle connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Handle stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Handle wants it to stay on the feet.
Rampage walks into a straight right hand from Handle.
Handle lands a glancing blow to the side of Rampage's head.

Handle misses with a wild combination.
Handle plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A decent looking cross lands there for Handle.
Rampage's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Handle connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rampage scrambles back to his feet.
Rampage takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Handle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rampage drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Handle defends it well.
Rampage doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Handle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Handle lands a right hook to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Handle.
Handle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rampage sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Handle lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rampage backs up against the cage.
Handle digs a good hook to Rampage's body.
Handle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rampage can do to turn this around?
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Handle, as that shot connected.
Handle feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rampages jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Handle throws out a loose jab but Rampage uses good head movement to avoid it.
Handle misses with a wild combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Handle lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Handle lands a slapping body shot.
Rampage takes a kick to the side of the head.
Rampage has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Handle.
Handle lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A shot to the liver by Handle. Beautiful body shot.
Max Handle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Handle lands with a right hand.
Handle throws a good cross that connects.

Handle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rampage's guard.

Rampage pushes Handle off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Max Handle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rampage is trying desperately to land a takedown but Handle is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rampage.

Rampage gets caught napping as Handle dives in and scores a takedown. Rampage manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Handle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Handle with a flurry of punches that miss.
Rampage is trying to hold Handle in close to prevent damage but Handle has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Handle wants to work for an arm triangle but Rampage is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Handle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rampage is just riding it out for now. Handle eventually gives up the hold.

Handle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rampage eats them both and turns towards Handle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Rampage moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rampage fails with the takedown.
Nice shot lands for Handle.
The fighters circle momentarily. Handle darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Handle thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rampage if he has to take too many more of those.
Handle scores with a head kick. Rampage tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Handle smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Handle with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rampage has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rampage takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rampage darts in looking for a takedown but Handle gets double underhooks and turns Rampage into the cage.
Handle throws a sloppy head kick and Rampage moves out of range easily.
Rampage tries to counter with a clinch but Handle shakes him off and moves away.

Handle connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Handle tries to bum rush Rampage with a series of wild strikes but Rampage uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rampage throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Handle was covering up waiting for the punch and Rampage finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Rampage is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Handle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rampage's guard.

Max Handle is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Handle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Rampage seems to have recovered his senses.
