The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinjo misses with an uppercut. Bastard saw that one coming.
Shinjo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Shinjo scores with a nice head shot.

Bastard shoots for a double leg takedown but Shinjo sprawls well. He's pushed Bastard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It looked like Shinjo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bastard working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Shinjo's head.

Bastard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bastard is standing up over Shinjo. Shinjo looks to escape but Bastard dives into side control.

Bastard misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shinjo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shinjo tries to get out of the position.
Shinjo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Shinjo takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Shinjo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bastard connects with a decent elbow.

Bastard in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Shinjo looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Bastard turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
