Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ebyn Dall (ranked 610 p4p, 76 weight class) and Rodney Holzken (ranked 15711 p4p, 413 weight class). Dall's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Under the Blood. Holzken is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Justin Bieber ft. Ariana Grande - Let Me Think Bout You. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 4 losses; Ebyn Dall! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 8 losses; Rodney Holzken! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dall is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Holzken's half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Dall (2) vs (0) Holzken Holzken moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Holzken is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. That's one minute gone in the round. Holzken trying to control from half guard but Dall is working away. Dall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Holzken pulls his head out easily. Holzken perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Dall looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Holzken is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Dall (2) vs (5) Holzken Holzken looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dall tries to reverse the position but Holzken maintains control. Holzken takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Holzken looking to control but Dall is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Holzken might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dall haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dall working to try and regain half guard.

Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Dall (4) vs (8) Holzken The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dall drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Holzken manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dall has Holzken in his guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Dall (4) vs (10) Holzken Dall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Holzken is one step ahead there. Dall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holzken passes into half guard. Holzken is looking to take a break and control but Dall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. That's six minutes gone in the round. Holzken passes the guard and advances to mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Dall (4) vs (13) Holzken Holzken tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Holzken trying to control but he's not successful this time.

My spies in Navy Street MMA inform me that Holzken has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Dall is desperately trying to improve his position but Holzken has a good base and remains in mount. Dall is controlling an arm, preventing Holzken from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Holzken doesn't have the hooks in and Dall manages to turn into his guard.
Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Dall (6) vs (16) Holzken Dall pushes down on Holzken's leg and manages to get into half guard. Holzken is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dall's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dall's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Dall (6) vs (20) Holzken Holzken just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Holzken is looking to control Dall but Dall is wriggling around and keeping busy. Dall tries to escape the position.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Holzken working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Dall is doing well to defend. Holzken seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Dall is forced to tap and this one is over!
