Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Arthur Menezes (ranked 650 p4p, 85 weight class) and Ronald Dela Rosa (ranked 19914 p4p, 496 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Arthur Menezes! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 8 losses; Ronald Dela Rosa!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Menezes has Dela Rosa up against the cage in a clinch.

Dela Rosa pulls guard successfully.

Dela Rosa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Menezes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Menezes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Menezes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dela Rosa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dela Rosa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Menezes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dela Rosa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Menezes is working away from the top position though.
Menezes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Menezes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dela Rosa defends it well.

Dela Rosa is looking to control Menezes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dela Rosa avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Menezes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dela Rosa is just riding it out for now. Menezes eventually gives up the hold.

We've been hearing good reports from Menezes's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dela Rosa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Menezes dives on top into guard.

Menezes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Menezes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Menezes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dela Rosa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Menezes is looking to defend but Dela Rosa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Menezes! Dela Rosa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Menezes taps out and this one is all over!
