Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Johnson! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferguson closes the distance and clinches. Ferguson lands with a short shot to the head. A nice glancing elbow lands by Ferguson.
It looks like James Johnson has been cut. Ferguson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ferguson moves into the clinch. Ferguson scores with a shot to the side of Johnson's head. Ferguson manages to break the clinch.
Ferguson closes the distance and clinches. Ferguson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ferguson moves into the clinch. Ferguson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johnson dives in for a single leg takedown but Ferguson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. It looked like Ferguson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ferguson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jock Ferguson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferguson rushes Johnson and presses him up against the cage. Ferguson lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ferguson but Ferguson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jock Ferguson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Johnson. Ferguson forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches. Ferguson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That has opened up James Johnson's cut even more. Ferguson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Johnson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Ferguson finish him? Ferguson throws an elbow that misses.

Johnson gets tackled into the cage by Ferguson. Ferguson maintains the clinch. Ferguson tries to land a knee to the head but Johnson blocks with his arms.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jock Ferguson! In his post fight interview, Jock Ferguson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
