The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Smashmouth slams his shin into Rypalev's torso.
Smashmouth defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rypalev.
Rypalev shoots in but no luck this time.
Rypalev sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Rypalev tries for a takedown but Smashmouth sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bruiser Smashmouth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksey Rypalev.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
