Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rui Rodrigo Germano (ranked 2347 p4p, 286 weight class) and Alexey Markov (ranked 3553 p4p, 381 weight class). Germano comes to the ring accompanied by HIM - Don't Fear The Reaper. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Germano looks to throw the jab but Markov is out of range.
Markov tries to clinch but Germano moves out of range.
Markov swings widly with a right hand
and Germano counters with a single leg into guard. Markov didn't expect that.
Germano throws a big right hand that misses.
Markov wants to stand up but Germano is controlling him.
Germano with a flurry of punches that miss.
Germano in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Markov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Germano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Markov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Germano controls the pace.
Germano is looking to pass into half guard but Markov pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Markov is in guard.

Germano had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Markov defends it easily.

Markov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Germano looking for a triangle here. Markov is fighting it but it looks tight! Germano pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Markov is tapping out - this one is all over!
