And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kenny Smith!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNights fails with an attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McNights.
McNights throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Smith flicks out a counter leg kick but McNights steps away.
McNights darts in trying to clinch
and Smith counters with a solid body kick.
McNights definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
McNights throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.
Smith throws a fast counter high kick but McNights manages to duck under it in time.
Smith is looking to chop away at McNights's legs.
Steve McNights seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

McNights chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smith can pounce on him.
Smith buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McNights fails with the takedown
and Smith counters with a low kick, right behind McNights 's knee.
McNights shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.

Smith throws a head kick that misses.
McNights has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Smith.
McNights is breathing heavily.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and McNights moves out of range easily.

McNights tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McNights somewhat.

Smith fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McNights fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Smith leaves McNights with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McNights appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Smith connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Smith. That's going to slow McNights down.

It looked like McNights was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

McNights shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Smith wants to stand and escape but McNights is having none of it.

Steve McNights is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Smith tries a quick counter leg kick but McNights is wise to it.

Smith lands a big head kick that sends McNights tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves McNights back to his feet - he wants the finish!


McNights is rocked!


It looks like Steve McNights has been cut.
Smith has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McNights is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Oh McNights is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith feints a jab and as McNights dips his head, Smith unleashes a brutal head kick that catches McNights right on the jaw! Timbeeer! McNights falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Smith smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kenny Smith!
Kenny Smith thanked the fans post fight for their support.
Steve McNights spoke after the fight, saying 'He is a very good fighter. I will come back stronger next time you see me'.
