The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Mokete counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Leo Nani is squirming around, avoiding Mokete's attempts to control the action.

Mokete looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mokete postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Leo Nani looks a forlorn figure.
Mokete wants to take Leo Nani's back here but Leo Nani is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Leo Nani is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Mokete has hold of Leo Nani's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Leo Nani manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Mokete is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Leo Nani can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
