Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Taktarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Ackbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taktarev is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Amir Ackbar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amir Ackbar! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ackbar scores a takedown into full mount! Taktarev looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Ackbar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ackbar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taktarev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Ackbar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Despite being in the dominant position, Amir Ackbar just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ackbar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ackbar slows the pace down in half guard. Ackbar is pressing down on Taktarev's thigh, looking to free his foot. Taktarev is holding on for now.

Despite being in the dominant position, Amir Ackbar just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ackbar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ackbar sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ackbar wants to pass the guard but Taktarev is keeping the position. Ackbar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ackbar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Taktarev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taktarev tries to get out of the position. Ackbar staying calm.

Amir Ackbar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Roman Taktarev's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Taktarev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ackbar stays in close to Taktarev's body and controls the position. Taktarev working a defensive guard here.
Taktarev wants to sweep but no luck. Taktarev looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ackbar puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Taktarev wants to improve his position but Ackbar is controlling well.
Ackbar is nestled in close to Taktarev, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Taktarev is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Taktarev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Ackbar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Taktarev wants to sweep here but Ackbar controlling him for the moment. Taktarev is trying to keep Ackbar in close.
Ackbar content to stall in guard here. Ackbar prevents Taktarev from getting back to his feet. Taktarev throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Taktarev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ackbar forces his way into half guard. Ackbar content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
