Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otto Tallus (ranked 6327 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jones (ranked 6498 p4p, 0 weight class). Tallus comes into the arena with Poison Girl blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Otto Tallus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Jones! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tallus moves out of range as Jones strikes. Tallus seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Tallus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tallus somewhat. Tallus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Jones is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Jones leaves Tallus with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jones changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Otto Tallus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tallus darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Tallus into the cage. Horrible takedown attempt by Tallus or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tallus paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tallus shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tallus fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. No luck for Tallus with that takedown attempt. Jones drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tallus defends it well. Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tallus. Jones has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tallus is landing a low percentage of strikes. Tallus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Good work by Tallus as he checks the leg kick. Jones wants to clinch and Tallus counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to roll over but Tallus keeps him under control. Tallus wants to free his trapped foot but Jones is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jones wants to improve his position but Tallus is controlling well.
Tallus takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jones regains full guard. Nicely done. Tallus controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Tallus is proving a slippery customer.
Tallus stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tallus seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with. Tallus has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Tallus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tallus has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Tallus looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Tallus continues to stall. Jones looking to control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tallus has a hand on Jones's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jones takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Tallus defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones. Tallus is controlling an arm, preventing Jones from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Tallus gets back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tallus wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. Tallus controlling the position well. Jones looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Jones dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Otto Tallus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tallus shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Tallus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Tallus. Jones lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tallus feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Tallus changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tallus is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jones has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tallus is looking to defend but Jones has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tallus! Jones pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tallus taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Andrew Jones! A relieved looking Andrew Jones thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
