Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Disco Kid (ranked 783 p4p, 52 weight class) and My Time (ranked 1595 p4p, 100 weight class). Disco Kid has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Disco Kid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, My Time!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Time on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Time slips under a jab from Kid.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kid shoots in but Time avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Time. Kid does a little dance to reset his feet.
Time uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kid.
Time is looking for the big counter here.
Time scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Time takes one on the button.
Disco Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kid shoots in and bounces Time off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kid's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Time told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Kid lands a couple of digs.

Kid seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Time counters with a straight right hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kid scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Time doesn't seem bothered though.
Kid shoots in for a takedown but Time shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
It seemed like Time was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Time moves forwards but Kid connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Time has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Kid uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Time.
Kid throws an off balance right hand
and Time counters with a nice uppercut.
Time might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Time tries to sprawl but Kid drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Time really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Time is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kid gets his way!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kid works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kid shoots in for a takedown but Time shows good takedown defense.
Time tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kid was well out of range. Poor timing from Time.
Kid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Time manages to avoid it.
Kid is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Time can do to turn this around?

so Kid counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Time utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kid postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kid is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Time is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Time has escaped and now he's on top!

Time has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kid is proving hard to escape from.

Kid has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Time is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kid.

Kid tries to pass the half guard into mount. Time knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are battling for position here. Time manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Kid drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Time manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kid has Time in his guard.


Kid is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Time rolls with it to try and escape but Kid cranks on the arm and Time is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Our winner, Disco Kid, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
