Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Barca (ranked 2378 p4p, 141 weight class) and Maverick Syndal (ranked 3565 p4p, 276 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syndal ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barca moves away.
Syndal pivots, looking for a leg kick but Barca is out of range and Syndal settles back down.
Syndal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Syndal drops Barca with a straight right hand, right on the button! Syndal follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Our winner, Maverick Syndal, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
