The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Kruchevski as Waid shoots in.
Kruchevski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Waid's guard.
Kruchevski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Waid can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kruchevski controls the pace.

Kruchevski is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Waid defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Kruchevski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
