Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darnell Cane (ranked 836 p4p, 112 weight class) and Jakub Chlapik (ranked 349 p4p, 46 weight class). Chlapik has chosen PIPES AND PINTS / Criticized as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darnell Cane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Jakub Chlapik!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Chlapik.
Cane lands a jab to Chlapik's midsection.
Cane drops his hands momentarily and Chlapik takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cane takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Chlapik looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cane moves out of range as Chlapik strikes.
Chlapik swings widly with a right hand
and Cane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Jakub Chlapik has been cut.
Chlapik looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Cane changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cane.
Cane slips a straight right by Chlapik.
Cane definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Chlapik cracks Cane with a right hand to the side of the head.
Chlapik throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chlapik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cane tries to counter with a takedown but Chlapik is quick to defend against it.
Chlapik looks to land a body kick but Cane moved away.
Cane drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chlapik sprawls and moves away.
Chlapik turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Chlapik steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cane.

Cane throws a lazy uppercut
and Chlapik counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cane gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Chlapik keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cane.
Cane misses with a lunging right hand
and Chlapik counters with a series of strikes. Cane will be more careful next time no doubt.
Nice body kick there by Chlapik.
Chlapik takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Chlapik counters with a straight right hand.
Chlapik connects with a high kick.
Cane dips to his left and cracks Chlapik with an uppercut!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big left from Chlapik misses.
Chlapik throws a good cross that connects.
Chlapik misses with a looping left.
Cane misses with a lunging right hand
and Chlapik counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cane waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Chlapik.
Cane gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chlapik has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Cane misses with a straight left.
Chlapik looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Cane throws a shot from downtown. Chlapik moves away and avoids it.

Nice shot lands for Chlapik.
Jakub Chlapik is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cane tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chlapik swivels and escapes.
Chlapik is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cane had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cane. Chlapik does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chlapik connects with a looping right hand.
Cane dodges the punch combination from Chlapik.
Cane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chlapik was well out of range. Poor timing from Cane.
Chlapik keeps Cane at a distance using the push kick.
Cane scores with the left hand. Chlapik knows he should have avoided that one.
Cane takes one on the button.
Cane is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A head kick misses from Chlapik.
Chlapik lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Chlapik throws a body kick that misses
and Cane counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cane connects with a nice short shot to Chlapik's temple.
Chlapik gets back to full guard.
Cane passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chlapik tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Cane misses with the ground and pound.
Cane tries to score with some ground and pound. Chlapik controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chlapik takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chlapik is looking to reverse the position.
Cane lands a few punches from side control.
Cane is trying to ground and pound but Chlapik uses the momentary lack of control by Cane to regain half guard.
Chlapik is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cane sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chlapik defending well though.
Chlapik looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cane is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Chlapik pushes Cane off looking to stand but Cane dives back in and keeps control.
Chlapik is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cane's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cane's back!
Chlapik tries to get the hooks in deep but Cane pushed the leg off.
Chlapik really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Cane.
Cane wants to escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cane breaks Chlapik's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chlapik is rocked!
Chlapik wants to stand but Cane is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darnell Cane decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Jakub Chlapik spoke after the fight, saying 'HE'S ON STEROIDS! IM TELLIN YA HE IS!'.
