Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Padr Gary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hans Gruber is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gary's waist but Gary gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gruber off to one side.
Gary stuffs the takedown attempt from Gruber. Gruber gets slowly back to his feet.
Gruber has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gary.
Gary moves in looking to clinch but Gruber pushes him off.
Gary tries to close the distance and clinch but Gruber swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gruber shoots in but Gary avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gruber working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gary doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gary manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gary pushes Gruber away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gruber gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Gruber is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gary is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gruber is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gary is just riding it out for now. Gruber eventually gives up the hold.
