Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rick Jackson (ranked 3893 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamza Showaikh (ranked 3845 p4p, 321 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Thing. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Hamza Showaikh enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hamza Showaikh! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Showaikh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away. Showaikh shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jackson is looking to counter the offense by Showaikh and move into the clinch. Showaikh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jackson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Showaikh somewhat. Rick Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamza Showaikh. Showaikh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jackson clinches with his opponent.

Showaikh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jackson closes the distance and lands a one-two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson drives through and clinches with Showaikh against the cage.
Showaikh is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jackson is defending well. Showaikh has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jackson after a bit of a struggle. Showaikh is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jackson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jackson tries to score a body lock takedown but Showaikh shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Showaikh has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Showaikh backwards. Showaikh can't get the takedown.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Showaikh looks winded! A body shot lands from Jackson.
A knee to the head by Jackson.
Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A solid body kick from Jackson. Jackson throws a head kick that Showaikh semi-blocks.
Showaikh misses with a takedown attempt and Jackson moves into the clinch. Showaikh tries to score a body lock takedown but Jackson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Showaikh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jackson - that will leave a mark!
Showaikh fails with the takedown and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jackson. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Showaikh shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Showaikh slaps away a takedown attempt from Jackson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jab from Jackson. Jackson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Showaikh. Showaikh circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jackson clinches up with Showaikh and pushes him back against the cage. Jackson lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Jackson successfully pulls guard.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Showaikh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Showaikh works over Jackson with some ground and pound from guard. Showaikh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Showaikh stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Showaikh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Showaikh postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Showaikh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Showaikh is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Showaikh cracks Jackson with a solid left hand.
Jackson is rocked! Jackson has momentary wrist control but Showaikh slips an elbow through the middle. Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Showaikh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Showaikh is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Showaikh loads up on a big left hand. Jackson felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Showaikh looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Jackson can't hide his disappointment, as Showaikh celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hamza Showaikh!
