The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richard gets a double leg takedown into Black's guard.
Black looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Black will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Black wants to stand but Richard is controlling the position.
Richard tries to free his leg and advance position but Black is retaining full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Richard might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Richard feints and as Black raises his hands in defense, Richard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Black is looking to sweep but instead, Richard has passed into half guard.
Richard wants to free his trapped foot but Black is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Black is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Black really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Black is rocked!
Richard lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Black! More strikes land and this one is all over! Richard jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
