Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Downwith Drago (ranked 858 p4p, 110 weight class) and Memphis Dentler (ranked 2317 p4p, 251 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dentler's choice of entrance music: Pennywise - As Long As We Can. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dentler stuffs the takedown attempt from Drago. Drago gets slowly back to his feet.
Downwith Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drago shoots in and drives through. Dentler sprawls well.
Dentler digs a good body shot into Drago's ribs.

Drago shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dentler napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dentler is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Dentler takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Drago in side control, throwing shots but Dentler defends.
Drago cracks Dentler with an elbow. That is naaassty.
An elbow from Drago crashes against the mat.
Drago lands a nice forearm strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drago throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Dentler takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Drago is looking to take a break and control but Dentler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Drago in side control, throwing shots but Dentler defends.
Drago creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dentler sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Dentler is not content to let Drago control the position.
Dentler on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Drago working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Drago in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Dentler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drago. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Drago creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Drago sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dentler is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drago lands a nice forearm strike.
Drago lands a decent elbow from side control.
Drago is chipping away with strikes.

Dentler is rocked!
The ground and pound from Drago seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Drago happy to just control the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dentler managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Drago.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dentler can do anything to dispel that myth.

Drago in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Drago works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Dentler is still in real trouble! Can Drago finish him?
A big shot lands for Drago! That's hurt Dentler! Will he recover? Drago fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Downwith Drago decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Memphis Dentler spoke after the fight, saying 'Cant win em all I suppose'.
