Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malaki Lima (ranked 7124 p4p, 467 weight class) and Torkel Bystrom (ranked 3488 p4p, 330 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Malaki Lima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Torkel Bystrom! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bystrom throws a body shot but no joy. Lima uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bystrom.
Bystrom tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lima drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bystrom is trying to control Lima's posture but Lima avoids it. Lima prevents Bystrom from escaping the position. Bystrom taking punishment in the form of punches.
Lima has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lima tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Lima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bystrom managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lima.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lima tries to advance to mount but Bystrom denies him. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bystrom is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lima off and has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lima is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Bystrom is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Good control from Bystrom. It looks like Bystrom might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lima can't escape the position.

Bystrom has good solid back control here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Torkel Bystrom dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Bystrom enables Lima to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bystrom manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lima postures up in Bystrom's guard and throws a big left but Bystrom blocks it. Malaki Lima overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lima looking to pass the guard. Bystrom working a defensive guard here.
Bystrom has his hands on Lima's head, controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Bystrom has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lima is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lima slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bystrom tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Bystrom is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lima avoids the attempt from Bystrom to control. Bystrom is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Lima is staying active. Bystrom might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lima haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lima lands a big shot there that rocks Bystrom but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Bystrom tries to lock up and control but Lima gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bystrom tries to reverse the position but Lima maintains control. Bystrom tries to hold on but Lima pushes him away. Bystrom is working to get back to half guard.
Bystrom keeps trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lima has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bystrom's face.
Bystrom is rocked! Lima connects with a bit shot that sees Bystrom covering up! More strikes from Lima and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Lima is our winner by TKO!
