Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mats Sundin (ranked 2608 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Johnson (ranked 3409 p4p, 0 weight class). Sundin comes to the cage accompanied by Hej Monika. Johnson has chosen Welcome to the jungle as his entrance music. Joey Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mats Sundin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Johnson! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sundin has his takedown stuffed and Johnson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Johnson misses with the combination.
Johnson throws a right hand that Sundin ducks under and follows up with a left that Sundin also avoids with ease. Sundin feinted with a counter takedown. Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sundin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Johnson kicks Sundin off and gets back to his feet. Johnson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Johnson works over Sundin's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Mats Sundin has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sundin tries to counter with a takedown but Johnson is quick to defend against it. Sundin fails with the takedown and Johnson counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson throws a head kick but Sundin moves out of range.
Sundin feinted with a counter takedown. Sundin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Sundin persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mats Sundin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson throws a leg kick and Sundin counters with a takedown into side control. Johnson tries to bench press Sundin off him but Sundin keeps the position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Sundin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johnson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Sundin working away. Sundin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well. Sundin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sundin has an Americana. Johnson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sundin is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sundin hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mats Sundin! A relieved looking Mats Sundin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
