Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Rebenta (ranked 4334 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poseidon Gonzalez (ranked 3377 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez dips to his left and cracks Rebenta with an uppercut!
Rebenta takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rebenta will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gonzalez throws out a counter right but Rebenta avoids it with no problem.
Gonzalez throws a body punch but Rebenta moves out of range.
Rebenta misses with a wild body shot.
Rebenta looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Poseidon Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzalez lands with a good body shot.
Rebenta shoots in and drives through. Gonzalez sprawls well.

Gonzalez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Gonzalez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Gonzalez has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rebenta is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Rebenta dives in and scores a takedown into Gonzalez's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gonzalez has control of Rebenta's left arm, preventing Rebenta from doing any damage.

Rebenta takes one to the chin there.
Rebenta shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gonzalez as he avoids it easily.

Rebenta dives in and grabs Gonzalez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gonzalez pushes down on Rebenta's head and hops out.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rebenta.
Rebenta takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Rebenta shoots for a takedown but Gonzalez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gonzalez! But no joy.
Gonzalez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gonzalez, as that shot connected.
Rebenta gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gonzalez.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gonzalez. That's going to slow Rebenta down.
Rebenta fails with the takedown
and Gonzalez counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Rebenta is rocked!

Oh Rebenta is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gonzalez fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Rebenta to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Rebenta looks to clinch but Gonzalez throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Rebenta taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
