Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Sixx (ranked 3016 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dio (ranked 6595 p4p, 0 weight class). Sixx comes into the arena with The Fire of Power by WATAIN blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixx shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dio but Dio pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jab by Dio.
Dio slips under a jab.
A little jabbing left from Dio on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Sixx has managed to clinch.
Dio lands a shot to the body.
Dio jumps guard and drags Sixx to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Dio can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sixx controls the pace.

We've been hearing good reports from Sixx's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dio has Sixx pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dio pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sixx tumbling to the mat - Dio dives into Sixx's guard.
Sixx pushes Dio off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Dio blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Dio has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sixx regains guard immediately.

Sixx isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dio stacks Sixx on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dio!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sixx utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sixx sizes up Dio with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

John Dio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Sixx's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Dio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dio cracks Sixx with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sixx looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dio finish him?

Sixx walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Dio! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
