Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dag Daghammar (ranked 163 p4p, 21 weight class) and Hans Hermann Hoppe (ranked 195 p4p, 24 weight class). Daghammar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Just like that - Dregen. Hoppe has chosen Wind of Change as his entrance music. Dag Daghammar has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dag Daghammar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Hermann Hoppe! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daghammar throws a body punch but Hoppe moves out of range. Excellent takedown into side control there by Hoppe. Hoppe throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. We've been hearing good reports from Daghammar's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Daghammar is not content to let Hoppe control the position. Hoppe in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoppe working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daghammar pushes Hoppe away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hoppe gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hoppe wants to control for a moment but Daghammar uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Daghammar is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoppe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Daghammar has managed to free his arm - good work. Hoppe wants to work for an arm triangle but Daghammar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Daghammar is looking to escape. Hoppe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daghammar's head. Hoppe missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hoppe wants to free his trapped foot but Daghammar is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hoppe not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hoppe is stalling here. Daghammar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hoppe seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Daghammar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Hoppe is looking to reverse the position. Hoppe manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Daghammar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hoppe keeps working. Hoppe is pressing down on Daghammar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Daghammar postures up and lands a big shot to Hoppe's brow. Hoppe looking for a guillotine here but Daghammar defends easily.
Hoppe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hoppe keeps trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoppe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Daghammar is aware though and is defending well. Hoppe controls Daghammar momentarily but Daghammar frees himself. Hoppe looking for a sweep. Not yet Hoppe, not yet. Daghammar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hoppe looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Daghammar landing with the ground and pound. Hoppe has Daghammar pulled in close to control his posture. Daghammar wants to control from the top but Hoppe keeps moving. Daghammar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Daghammar lands a couple of digs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daghammar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hoppe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daghammar has managed to get both his arms back between Hoppe's legs - danger averted. Daghammar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hoppe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Daghammar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hoppe is looking for a triangle but Daghammar pushes his legs off easily.

Hoppe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Daghammar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Daghammar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Daghammar working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hoppe's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hans Hermann Hoppe will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hoppe with the counter takedown but Daghammar avoids it easily. Hans Hermann Hoppe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoppe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Daghammar to counter with a crisp jab. Daghammar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hoppe lands with a good body shot. Hoppe throws a body punch but Daghammar moves out of range. Hoppe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Daghammar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hoppe somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoppe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Daghammar under the eye.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoppe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Hoppe misses with a takedown attempt - Daghammar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Daghammar tries to counter with a takedown but Hoppe is quick to defend against it. Dag Daghammar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Hermann Hoppe. Hoppe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Daghammar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hoppe shoots in looking for a takedown. Daghammar tries to sprawl out of it but Hoppe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Daghammar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Daghammar throws a big shot that misses. Hoppe avoids the body shot from Daghammar.
Hoppe tries to bum rush Daghammar with a series of wild strikes but Daghammar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hoppe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Daghammar as he avoids it easily. Daghammar lands a lovely overhand right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoppe cracks Daghammar with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Daghammar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hoppe manages to avoid it. A right-left combo lands from Hoppe. Hoppe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Daghammar defends well and Hoppe ends up having to push Daghammar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Hoppe catches Daghammar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! This has been an exciting period of action! Hoppe throws a head kick but Daghammar moves out of range.
Daghammar leaves Hoppe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Daghammar drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hoppe sprawls and moves away. Hoppe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daghammar to the mat! Daghammar manages to get full guard. Daghammar keeping moving, preventing Hoppe from controlling successfully. Hans Hermann Hoppe has got the better of the ground game so far. Hoppe throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoppe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Daghammar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hoppe tries to free his leg and advance position but Daghammar is retaining full guard. Hoppe lands a couple of elbows. Hoppe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Daghammar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hoppe landing with the ground and pound. Hoppe landing some decent shots from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoppe cracks Daghammar with a solid left hand. Hoppe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Daghammar keeping moving, preventing Hoppe from controlling successfully. Daghammar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Daghammar keeping full guard, as Hoppe tries to pass. Hoppe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Daghammar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hans Hermann Hoppe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hoppe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daghammar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hoppe grinds an elbow into Daghammar's temple. Hoppe working the head and body with strikes. Hoppe trying to control the action but Daghammar is working from the bottom. Hoppe working the ground and pound but Daghammar is defending the strikes. Daghammar parries the strikes from Hoppe easily there. Hoppe is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Daghammar to escape.

Daghammar is trying to escape the position but Hoppe is controlling the position. Hoppe working the ground and pound. Hoppe trying to control the position but Daghammar is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daghammar defending against the ground and pound. Daghammar throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Daghammar throws a hook but Hoppe blocks it. Hoppe fails with the takedown. Daghammar throws a looping overhand right but Hoppe ducks down to avoid it. Daghammar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A big right from Daghammar misses. Hoppe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Dag Daghammar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Daghammar misses its intended target. Hoppe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Daghammar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Daghammar stuffs the takedown attempt from Hoppe. Hoppe gets slowly back to his feet. Hoppe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dag Daghammar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Hermann Hoppe. A momentary lapse in concentration from Daghammar enables Hoppe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Daghammar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Daghammar has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hoppe has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hoppe tries to pull guard but Daghammar forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Daghammar lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Daghammar lands a shoulder strike. Hoppe is trying to pull guard but Daghammar has him pressed against the cage. Hoppe looking for a takedown. Hoppe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Daghammar tries for a takedown but Hoppe manages to get underhooks.
Hoppe trying to control the position but instead, Daghammar has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hoppe into the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hoppe creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoppe displaying some good clinch control by pressing Daghammar up against the cage. Daghammar misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch on the inside from Daghammar fails to land. Daghammar scores with a shot to the side of Hoppe's head. Hoppe will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Daghammar up against the cage. Daghammar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hoppe shoots in for a takedown but Daghammar shows good takedown defense. Daghammar drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hoppe sprawls and moves away. Daghammar takes a swing at Hoppe's ribcage but misses. A telegraphed right hand from Daghammar misses the target. Daghammar looks to land a right hand but Hoppe moved out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daghammar throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hoppe tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Daghammar jabs at Hoppe's body. Daghammar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoppe shoots in but no luck this time. Hoppe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Daghammar under the eye. Daghammar connects with a body shot that sends Hoppe's belly button to the back. Hoppe fails in his attempt to clinch. Hoppe throws a head kick but Daghammar moves out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hoppe darts in looking for a takedown but Daghammar gets double underhooks and turns Hoppe into the cage. Daghammar connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hoppe is defended easily by Daghammar.
And that's the end of the fight! Dag Daghammar showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hoppe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
