Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hamish Reid (ranked 1125 p4p, 162 weight class) and Blind Shaman (ranked 351 p4p, 56 weight class). Shaman has chosen Shaman's Dream as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hamish Reid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 20 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Blind Shaman! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Reid's half guard. Shaman seems to be working for a kimura but Reid defends the submission attempt. Reid is trying to stand up here but Shaman is controlling him well. Shaman performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Reid wants to get back to his feet.
Reid pushes Shaman off and gets back to his feet. Shaman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reid but Reid pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Reid. Shaman does a little dance to reset his feet. Hamish Reid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shaman fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reid pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Reid scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Shaman fails with a takedown attempt. Hamish Reid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blind Shaman. Shaman gets tackled into the cage by Reid. Reid maintains the clinch. Shaman breaks the clinch.
Shaman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reid defends it nicely. Reid throws an off balance right hand
and Shaman counters with a shoot takedown. Reid fights it but they end up in guard. Reid is looking to stand up but Shaman isn't so interested in that idea. Reid manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaman has Reid pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Shaman pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Reid tumbling to the mat - Shaman dives into Reid's guard. Reid kicks Shaman off and gets to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shaman swings for the body but Reid moves out of range.
Reid looks to score with a jab to the body but Shaman is just out of range. Shaman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Reid uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shaman.
Reid moves in looking to clinch but Shaman pushes him off. The fight stays on the outside here - Reid looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shaman gets a takedown into half guard. Shaman has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The King's Road. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Reid makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Reid misses with a hook. Shaman tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reid waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shaman. Reid misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shaman.
Shaman shoots in and gets a takedown into Reid's guard. Reid is looking to stand up but Shaman isn't so interested in that idea. Reid is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Shaman presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Shaman wants to take the fight to the mat but Reid manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Shaman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reid gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Reid throws a punch but it's blocked by Shaman. Shaman tries for a takedown. No joy.
Reid's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shaman misses with a shot to the body and Reid counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Reid misses with a wild body shot. Reid tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Reid gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reid wants to get back to his feet but Shaman is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Shaman passes Reid's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Shaman wants to pass to mount but Reid is defending the position. Reid pushes Shaman off looking to stand but Shaman dives back in and keeps control.
Reid has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Shaman is on him like a limpet, forcing Reid back against the cage. Reid stops a takedown attempt from Shaman.
Reid goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Shaman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Reid pulls his leg out and moves away.
Shaman swats away the attempt to clinch by Reid. Reid swings away with a body shot that misses
and Shaman counters with a nice low kick that buckles Reid's knee momentarily. Shaman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reid manages to avoid it. As Shaman looks to move away, Reid throws a big counter combo but Shaman just gets out of the way. Shaman moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reid tries to clinch but Shaman is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hamish Reid dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It looks like Blind Shaman has been cut. Reid scores with a head kick. Shaman tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Reid lands the left hand. Shaman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shaman shoots in but Reid avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shaman looks up at the clock. Bad move! Reid lands a right hand from hell, dropping Shaman. Reid pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hamish Reid!
