Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Juanito Cortez (ranked 1765 p4p, 233 weight class) and Tyga Laxx (ranked 3044 p4p, 351 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cortez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to $$$. On his way into the ring it seems that Juanito Cortez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Juanito Cortez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tyga Laxx !
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortez looks to throw the jab but Laxx is out of range.
A low kick from Cortez is predictable there
and Laxx cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cortez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cortez slips under a jab.
An attempted straight right counter from Cortez misses the target.
Laxx on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Cortez loads up on a big right hand but Laxx slips the punch.
No joy there for Laxx , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cortez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A clash of legs there as Laxx blocks the low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cortez throws a nice looking combination but Laxx bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Despite the aggression on Laxx 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Cortez connects with a leg kick. Laxx looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cortez throws a jab but it's blocked by Laxx .
A nice side step and Laxx releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Laxx might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Laxx takes a swing at Cortez's ribcage but misses.
Cortez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Laxx throws a right and a left that both miss.

Cortez's corner calls for a 1-2. Cortez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Laxx takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Laxx uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cortez.

and Cortez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Cortez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Laxx .
Cortez swings widly with a right hand
letting Laxx counter with a right hand.
Laxx paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Laxx with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cortez to score with a decent uppercut.
Cortez misses with a looping right.
A solid body kick from Cortez.
Cortez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Laxx under the eye.
Cortez throws the kick towards the body but Laxx avoids it.
Cortez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Cortez tries to clinch there but Laxx circles away.
Laxx throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

It looked like Cortez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Tyga Laxx is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cortez looks to land a body kick but Laxx moved away.
Cortez looks to land a left hand but Laxx moved out of range nicely.
Cortez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Laxx scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Cortez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A close second round but Tyga Laxx will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Laxx clips Cortez with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Cortez a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Cortez is rocked!
Tyga Laxx seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cortez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Cortez jabs Laxx right on the nose. Laxx blinks but takes it well.

Cortez throws out a loose jab but Laxx uses good head movement to avoid it.
Laxx lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Cortez goes down! The ref sends Laxx to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Cortez is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
Oh Cortez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Laxx looks to land a combination but Cortez avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cortez walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Tyga Laxx !
Juanito Cortez was interviewed post fight and said 'Well...shit happens....i will b back!'.
