Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Telushikin (ranked 4775 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Cup (ranked 4241 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Telushikin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Red Cup! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cup misses with an uppercut. Telushikin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Telushikin working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cup's thigh. Cup counters though and makes it back to full guard. Telushikin postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Telushikin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Telushikin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Telushikin trying to control the position from guard on top but Cup is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cup escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Telushikin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Telushikin prevents Cup from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cup is trying to keep Telushikin in close.
Telushikin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cup swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cup is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Telushikin's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Telushikin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cup manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Telushikin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cup swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cup is looking to stand up but Telushikin isn't so interested in that idea. Telushikin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cup has his hands on Telushikin's head, controlling the position. Telushikin trying to control the position from guard on top but Cup is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cup uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Telushikin's guard. Nice move by Cup! Telushikin keeping moving, preventing Cup from controlling successfully. Cup stopping the sweep attempt from Telushikin. Cup told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Cup avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Cup scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Joseph Telushikin has been cut. Cup tries to sprawl but Telushikin drives through with a takedown into half guard. Cup pushes Telushikin off and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Telushikin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cup pushes Telushikin off and gets back to his feet. Telushikin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cup pulls Telushikin in close to prevent any damage. Telushikin wants to control from the top but Cup keeps moving. Cup not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cup escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Telushikin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Telushikin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cup manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Telushikin has Cup in his guard.
Cup stands and steps away. Telushikin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Telushikin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cup looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Red Cup showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Joseph Telushikin's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Cup tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Telushikin paws at him with a jab and circles away. It looked like Telushikin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Cup uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Telushikin has time to react. Cup pushes Telushikin up against the cage in a clinch. Cup lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Telushikin backwards. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cup. Cup pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cup swings for the body but Telushikin moves out of range.
Telushikin tries to counter with a takedown but Cup is quick to defend against it. Red Cup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Telushikin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cup's half guard. Telushikin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cup keeps working. Cup is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Telushikin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Telushikin's back! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Red Cup has got the better of the ground game so far. Cup trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Telushikin trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Cup doesn't have the hooks in and Telushikin manages to turn into his guard.
Telushikin with a flurry of punches that miss. Cup is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Telushikin has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Cup taps out instantly and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joseph Telushikin! Red Cup spoke after the fight, saying 'That wasn't fun.'.
