Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Texas Goon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Quick Fight! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fight closes this distance looking for a takedown but Goon circles away. Fight shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goon but Goon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fight gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Goon counters with a left to the body. Texas Goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quick Fight. Sloppy strikes from Goon. Those never looked like landing. Goon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fight. Goon moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fight darts in looking for a takedown but Goon gets double underhooks and turns Fight into the cage. Goon is looking for a counter combo. Goon lands a jab to the head.
Fight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fight. Fight tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fight somewhat. Fight fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Goon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fight. Fight circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Fight fails with the takedown and Goon counters with a nice body shot. Fight misses with a takedown attempt and Goon counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goon jabs Fight to the body, keeping him at a distance. Quick Fight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fight tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fight somewhat. Fight shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Goon defends it nicely. Goon seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Fight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goon tries to avoid it but Fight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goon to the ground. Goon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Goon appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Goon lands with a nice combination. Fight backs away looking to recover. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fight tries for a takedown but Goon circles away easily and Fight takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fight shoots for a takedown but Goon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Goon with a jab. Fight goes for a double leg but Goon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Goon continues to drive forward. Fight shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Goon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fight takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fight shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Goon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Goon stuffs the takedown attempt from Fight. Fight gets slowly back to his feet. Fight shoots in for a takedown but Goon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fight goes for a double leg but Goon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Goon continues to drive forward. A little feinted left hand from Goon on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Fight looks winded! Fight misses with a takedown and Goon counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd cheers as Goon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fight doesn't seem phased though. Goon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fight changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fight shoots for a double leg takedown but Goon sprawls well. He's pushed Fight's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fight shoots and misses and Goon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fight doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Goon to counter with a crisp jab. Goon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Texas Goon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Fight might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Goon has got the better of the exchanges. Fight doesn't succeed with the takedown and Goon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. No luck for Fight with that takedown attempt. Fight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Texas Goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quick Fight. Fight fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Goon lands a glancing blow to the side of Fight's head. Fight's coach down at Cozad MMA London was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fight's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. No luck for Fight with that takedown attempt. A quick step to the side and Goon tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Goon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goon scores with a three punch combo!

Fight shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Goon defends it nicely. Fight closes the distance and clinches up with Goon, looking for a takedown. Fight pushes Goon against the cage but Goon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Goon is looking to counter punch. Fight with a lazy takedown attempt and Goon counters with a nice body shot. Fight doesn't succeed with the takedown and Goon counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fight is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goon slaps away a takedown attempt from Fight, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fight tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fight somewhat. Fight closes the distance and clinches up with Goon, looking for a takedown. Fight pushes Goon against the cage but Goon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Goon looks to land a combination. Fight sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fight gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fight fails with a takedown attempt. Texas Goon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fight is rocked! Goon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fight can do to turn this around? and Goon counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Fight! He's just covering up as Goon starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
