Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson De Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Silva comes into the arena with It's Time For War blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anderson De Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Driver! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Driver tries to buck De Silva off but De Silva is having none of it. The strikes coming from De Silva are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Driver is trying to improve his position. Driver is not content to let De Silva control the position. De Silva in side control, throwing shots but Driver defends. Driver is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. De Silva throwing shots but Driver is blocking nicely. De Silva is looking to take a break and control but Driver is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Driver slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for De Silva with that takedown attempt. Driver misses with a double jab.

De Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Driver is fending him off so far but De Silva persists. Nope, Driver circles away and we're back to standing. De Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Driver pinned against the cage. Driver gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson De Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. De Silva shoots in for a double leg but Driver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A cross from Driver lands. Driver throws a sloppy head kick and De Silva moves out of range easily. Driver throws a head kick that misses. Driver throws a right hand that De Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that De Silva also avoids with ease. Anderson De Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Silva throws a combination that misses and Driver counters with a left and a right that stings De Silva. Driver lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but De Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Driver lands a two punch combo.

and De Silva counters with a nice double leg into guard. De Silva is working Driver over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. De Silva postures up in Driver's guard and throws a big left but Driver blocks it. De Silva throws a strike but Driver rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Driver wants to control from the top but De Silva keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
De Silva wants to control the position but Driver says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. De Silva is breathing heavily. De Silva is trying to maintain the position but Driver is very close to passing his half guard. De Silva looking for submissions off his back. De Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Greg Driver will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Driver throws a nice looking combination but De Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. De Silva takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Driver lands a jab-cross combination. Driver fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
De Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Driver as he avoids it easily. Driver scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. De Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Driver circles away.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice takedown defense from Driver. No joy for De Silva on that attempt. De Silva takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Driver. De Silva shrugs it off though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Driver scores with a one two! De Silva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Driver throws a nice looking combination but De Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Driver connects with a looping right hand.

Driver ducks down and throws a hook to the body. De Silva is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Driver. Driver throws a one two combo.
De Silva takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Greg Driver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! De Silva crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Driver - the referee stops the clock and De Silva gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Driver. De Silva manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Danga de danga de dang - Driver scores with a four punch combination! Driver listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Driver lands with a kick to the temple. De Silva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Driver throws a nice head kick!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Driver throws a combination. De Silva tries to block but a couple of punches get through. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! De Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Driver as he avoids it easily. Driver lands a head kick. De Silva smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Driver throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by De Silva. Driver connects with the punch. Driver is working the combinations to good effect here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Driver pulls out of a head kick attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Driver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

He's got his arms around Driver's waist but Driver gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De Silva off to one side. De Silva takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Driver has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Driver misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
De Silva tries to clinch up and Driver counters with a big head kick but De Silva shrugs it off. Driver closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. De Silva wants to clinch. De Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Driver.

Greg Driver is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Driver throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by De Silva. Driver with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
De Silva shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson De Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Driver will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice sprawl there from Driver as De Silva shoots in.
And that's the end of the fight! Greg Driver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Driver winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
