Leal comes to the cage accompanied by Papa Roach - Last Resort. Ravese is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shining Down. Victor Leal has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Leal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Ravese!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ravese scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ravese looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Leal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ravese wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Leal struggling a bit here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Leal is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ravese is controlling him well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ravese wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Leal, who protects the arm well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Leal is looking for a sweep.
Leal is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Leal has a hand on Ravese's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ravese takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Leal tries to hold on but Ravese pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leal is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ravese is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Ravese dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Leal fails with the takedown

and Ravese counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ravese.
Leal looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ravese puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Ravese is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Ravese is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Leal is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
