1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Rozelli! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walsh closes the distance and clinches. Walsh drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rozelli creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Barton Walsh has been cut. Rozelli is defending well against a takedown attempt. Walsh keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rozelli's efforts to push away. Walsh drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rozelli pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barton Walsh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rozelli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walsh's guard. Walsh manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Walsh tries to pull guard but Rozelli holds him up against the cage and eventually Walsh drops back down to his feet.

Rozelli gets control of Walsh's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rozelli will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Walsh decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Rozelli tries to keep at a distance but Walsh has taken the fight into the clinch. Walsh working hard to break the clinch. Walsh creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Rozelli is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Walsh can't fight it off and eventually Rozelli manages to take the fight to the floor. Walsh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Walsh manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rozelli is struggling to control the position. Walsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like Robert Rozelli has been cut. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rozelli lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Walsh has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Walsh and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Rozelli gets a double leg takedown into Walsh's guard. Rozelli is looking to work some ground and pound but Walsh has wrist control. Rozelli trying to control but Walsh is working from the bottom. Rozelli controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rozelli throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rozelli tries to free his leg and advance position but Walsh is retaining full guard. Walsh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rozelli on the ground. Walsh keeping moving, preventing Rozelli from controlling successfully. Rozelli throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walsh works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rozelli missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Walsh with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Walsh lands the left hand. Rozelli shoots in and gets a takedown into Walsh's guard. Rozelli gets to his feet. Walsh looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Walsh's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Walsh duly obliges. Walsh gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rozelli to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rozelli stopping the sweep attempt from Walsh. Walsh is breathing heavily. Rozelli slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rozelli wants to pass the guard but Walsh is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Barton Walsh will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Walsh moves away from the strike by Rozelli. Walsh tries to counter with a takedown but Rozelli is quick to defend against it. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Walsh tries to clinch but Rozelli moves out of range. Walsh tries a head kick but it misses.

and Rozelli counters by moving into the clinch. Walsh is trying to push Rozelli away but Rozelli has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Rozelli keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Walsh's efforts to push away. Rozelli has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Walsh clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walsh defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rozelli struggling to keep hold of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rozelli gets his hands free as Walsh looks to control. Rozelli is looking for a rear naked choke here but Walsh reverses the position brilliantly into Rozelli's guard!
Rozelli looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Walsh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rozelli has his foot on Walsh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Walsh works his way back into a safe position though. Rozelli throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walsh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Walsh is fighting to break Rozelli's control of his arms but Rozelli is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Rozelli wants to sweep but no luck. Walsh working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Walsh's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Walsh prevents Rozelli from getting back to his feet. Walsh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Walsh keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rozelli's head. Rozelli trying to control but Walsh is working from the bottom. Walsh wants to sweep here but Rozelli controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Walsh scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Rozelli tries to clinch but Walsh moves out of range. Rozelli throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Walsh was covering up waiting for the punch and Rozelli finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rozelli has gone for a leg lock! Walsh slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rozelli's guard.
Rozelli is working an open guard so Walsh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rozelli throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Walsh tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rozelli is in Walsh's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This has been an exciting period of action! Rozelli uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Walsh has time to react. Rozelli closes the distance and clinches. Walsh has Rozelli pressed against the cage.

It looked like Walsh was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Walsh is looking to clinch but Rozelli is avoiding it.
As Walsh backs off Rozelli throws a huge counter combo but Walsh manages to avoid it all. Walsh plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rozelli tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walsh connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Rozelli gets the takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rozelli throwing shots but missing, from side control. Rozelli working the ground and pound but Walsh is defending the strikes. Walsh is not content to let Rozelli control the position. Rozelli tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Rozelli is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walsh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Robert Rozelli. I think Rozelli has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
