Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Gracie (ranked 3214 p4p, 258 weight class) and Chad Strdoza (ranked 3382 p4p, 269 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabriel Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Strdoza! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie lands a nice hook to Strdoza's body. Strdoza takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. We've been hearing reports that Gracie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Gracie has his takedown stuffed and Strdoza cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Strdoza is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.
Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gracie is looking for a kimura but Strdoza is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strdoza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Strdoza pushes Gracie off looking to stand but Gracie dives back in and keeps control.

Gracie not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Strdoza is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold. Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Strdoza's head. Strdoza actively working from the bottom here. Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.

Strdoza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily. Gracie slows the pace down in half guard.

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Strdoza sees it coming and defends easily. Strdoza wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Strdoza could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gracie has cracked it and Strdoza is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gracie!
