Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall Cobb (ranked 4022 p4p, 356 weight class) and Ice Tea (ranked 2265 p4p, 250 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randall Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ice Tea!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb ducks under a wild hook from Tea.
Tea has a takedown stuffed.
Cobb wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cobb fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Tea shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cobb counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've been told by Cobb's head coaches at RWB GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Cobb misses with a straight left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Tea counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Cobb is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cobb wants to stand up but Tea is controlling him.

Tea prevents Cobb from getting back to his feet.
Tea stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cobb swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cobb knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tea on the ground.
Tea is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tea drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cobb looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cobb looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cobb!
Cobb decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tea to his feet.
Randall Cobb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tea fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Randall Cobb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ice Tea.
Cobb throws a big shot that misses.
Tea throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cobb's waist but Cobb gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tea off to one side.
Tea takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Ice Tea has been cut.
Tea drops his hands momentarily and Cobb takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Cobb counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Cobb cracks Tea with an open hand slap.
Cobb throws the left hand but Tea avoids the punch easily.
And Tea tries to counter it with a takedown but Cobb pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Tea keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cobb.
A punch combination from Cobb misses.
Tea has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tea there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cobb misses with a wild combination.
Tea fails with a takedown attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Cobb on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Cobb lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cobb.

Cobb lands a slapping body shot.
Tea changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cobb looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cobb is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tea has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Cobb tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tea is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cobb is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tea doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cobb connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cobb fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Cobb tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tea was well out of range. Poor timing from Cobb.
Tea fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cobb to the ground. Tea is now in Cobb's guard.
Cobb has his feet on Tea's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Tea takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
