Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Rush !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Jones!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush shoots in but no luck this time.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.

Jones scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones landing strikes from the mount and Rush is in trouble!


It looks like Andrew Rush has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rush tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
Jones misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Rush is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Jones looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Jones looking to control and managing it successfully.
Rush holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jones tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Rush can't escape the position.

Jones working for a submission but Rush is keeping him at bay.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rush defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones.
Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rush is looking to escape.

Jones has control of Rush 's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rush regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Rush bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones controls Rush momentarily but Rush frees himself.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Rush pushes his legs off easily.
Rush content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Rush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rush trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rush gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rush can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones looks gassed!
Jones trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rush distracts Jones with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rush throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Jones dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Andrew Rush 's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rush throws a jab when Jones was well out of range.

and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Rush looking for a triangle here. Jones is fighting it but it looks tight! Rush pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jones is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Andrew Rush !
