Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Cummings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Cummings with that takedown attempt.

Cummings darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Tyson kicks Cummings off and gets back to his feet.
Mike Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Cummings. No joy for Tyson on that attempt.
Tyson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cummings shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tyson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cummings wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.

Cummings drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cummings jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cummings could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Cummings gets to his feet. Tyson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tyson.
Cummings thinks about countering with a head kick.
Tyson stuffs the takedown attempt from Cummings. Cummings gets slowly back to his feet.

Cummings keeps the fight on the outside.

Cummings drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tyson wants to get back to his feet but Cummings passes into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson wants to improve his position but Cummings is controlling well.
Tyson is not content to let Cummings control the position.

Tyson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cummings doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cummings manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cummings works over Tyson with some ground and pound from guard.
Tyson is looking to stand up but Cummings isn't so interested in that idea.
Cummings trying to control but Tyson is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch but Cummings swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cummings throws a big counter combination but Tyson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mike Tyson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tyson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cummings fails to pull guard.
Tyson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Tyson tries a knee to the head but Cummings blocks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Cummings looking to sit in guard and control but Tyson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cummings throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tyson uses it to pass to side control.

Tyson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cummings doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tyson.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cummings on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Tyson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cummings is trying to stand back up but Tyson is controlling him

Cummings tries to roll over but Tyson keeps him under control.
Tyson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cummings with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tyson wants to control but Cummings is keeping him busy.

Cummings is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cummings tries to roll over but Tyson keeps him under control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cummings works his way to full guard. Good work.
Tyson looking to sit in guard and control but Cummings gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Tyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Cummings stands and steps away. Tyson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mike Tyson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Tyson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cummings changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tyson tries to avoid it but Cummings manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tyson to the ground. Tyson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tyson shoots in but no luck this time.
Tyson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tyson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tyson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cummings shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tyson is trying to defend but Cummings finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Cummings is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tyson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tyson dives in and grabs Cummings's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cummings pushes down on Tyson's head and hops out.

Tyson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cummings.

and Cummings counters with a nice leg kick.
Tyson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tyson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cummings seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tyson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cummings wants to free his trapped foot but Tyson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Cummings is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cummings is trying to control the action in half guard but Tyson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matt Cummings.
I think Tyson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
