Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blake Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 3, fighting out of New York, Tatak Marines! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marines counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Marines. Rogers is trying to break the clinch but Marines has him pressed against the cage. Rogers tries to break free but Marines pushes him back against the cage. Marines misses with a body punch.
A frustrated look appears on Rogers's face as he tries to break the clinch. Rogers is trying to break the clinch but Marines is controlling him. Rogers wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marines jumps guard.
Rogers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rogers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Marines avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rogers trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Marines has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Rogers is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Rogers tries to break free but Marines pushes him back against the cage. Marines jumps guard but Rogers turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Rogers wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marines misses with a body punch.
Rogers wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rogers blocks a body shot from Marines. Rogers is trying to push Marines away but Marines has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Rogers tries to break free but Marines pushes him back against the cage. Rogers being controlled against the cage. Rogers looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Rogers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marines throws a punch but it's blocked by Rogers. Rogers is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rogers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Marines tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Marines goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rogers prevents it.

Rogers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Marines blocks a head kick by Rogers.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rogers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marines counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rogers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marines counters with a nice body kick. Marines darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Marines gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marines fails with the takedown and Rogers counters with a one-two to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tatak Marines dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Marines takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Rogers looks to land a body kick but Marines moved away. Rogers pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Marines back to the cage. Rogers follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Rogers throws a good cross that connects.
Blake Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rogers throws a sloppy head kick and Marines moves out of range easily. Rogers jabbing away but nothing is landing. Marines looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers throws a head kick but Marines moves out of range.
Marines tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Rogers lands a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers throws a series of punches but Marines moves out of range. And Marines tries to counter it with a takedown but Rogers pushes his down on his head and steps out. Marines tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rogers defends well and Marines ends up having to push Rogers into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rogers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Marines fails with a takedown attempt. Rogers throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Marines now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marines misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. It looked like Rogers was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Blake Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tatak Marines. Marines dodges the punch combination from Rogers.
Marines throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rogers was covering up waiting for the punch and Marines finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rogers wriggles free and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers fails to land with a series of punches.

Marines is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Rogers with a body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Rogers. Marines does a little dance to reset his feet. A countering left hand to the body from Marines misses. Rogers misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rogers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marines shoots in looking for a takedown but Rogers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marines's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Marines. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marines decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rogers to his feet. Rogers misses with a series of wild punches.
Marines now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Blake Rogers is winning the standup battle so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rogers swinging wildly here.
A nice side step and Marines releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Rogers lands an overhand right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blake Rogers dominated that second round. That's time! Rogers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Marines counters with a lovely shot to the body. Marines fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Marines takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Marines closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rogers circles away. Rogers misses with a double jab.

Marines will be more careful next time no doubt. Blake Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tatak Marines. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rogers scores with a hook. No luck for Marines with that takedown attempt. Rogers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rogers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A countering left hand to the body from Marines misses. Rogers is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marines can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marines closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rogers quickly recovers to half guard. Rogers is trying to escape back to his feet but Marines uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rogers tries to bench press Marines off him but Marines keeps the position. Marines stands up and we're back to a striking position. Marines shoots in and drives through. Rogers sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Rogers misses its intended target. Marines let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Horrible takedown attempt by Marines or perhaps it was just good defense by Rogers, which made it look bad. Rogers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marines manages to avoid it. Marines counters with a body kick. Rogers lands a right hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marines let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Rogers bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Marines's head. Marines fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rogers stuffs the takedown attempt from Marines. Marines gets slowly back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Blake Rogers showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rogers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
