Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Devon Giguere!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giguere doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Johnstone counters with a straight right hand.
Giguere scores with a head kick.
Giguere is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Giguere keeps the fight on the outside.
Giguere shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnstone pinned against the cage. Johnstone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Magic Johnstone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devon Giguere.

Johnstone is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Brotherhood MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Giguere seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
