Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Kron Silva (ranked 177 p4p, 23 weight class) and Joe Jennings (ranked 3372 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joe Jennings was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 5 losses; Kron Silva! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 5 losses; Joe Jennings! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.

Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Jennings tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jennings is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Silva is not content to let Jennings control the position. Silva slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Jennings stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jennings defends well. Silva keeping full guard, as Jennings tries to pass. Jennings got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jennings has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted. Silva keeping moving, preventing Jennings from controlling successfully. Silva looking for subs off his back but Jennings has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jennings wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jennings is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well. Jennings prevents Silva from improving his position. Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Jennings sits in half guard. Silva wants to improve his position but Jennings is controlling well.

Jennings wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jennings's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Silva (2) vs (2) Jennings Jennings is trying to control the position from the bottom.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Jennings. Jennings has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silva doesn't defend quickly enough and Jennings has managed to lock this one up! Can Silva escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jennings on a fantastic submission victory.
