Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ceph Alopodis (ranked 4000 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Barter (ranked 2114 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Ceph Alopodis! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Richard Barter ! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Alopodis with a poor takedown and Barter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barter . Alopodis is fighting off a takedown attempt but Barter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Alopodis to the mat. Alopodis regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters roll with the hold and Alopodis manages to kick Barter off! Barter jumps back into Alopodis's guard. Barter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alopodis looks panicked! The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Alopodis can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barter moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Alopodis has worked his arm free - good work by Alopodis!
Alopodis is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Alopodis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barter 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barter 's back! Alopodis prevents Barter from getting the reversal. Alopodis wants to take Barter 's back here but Barter is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are battling for position here. Barter manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Alopodis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Barter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alopodis has Barter in his guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Alopodis (35) vs (17) Barter Alopodis has his foot on Barter 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barter works his way back into a safe position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Alopodis takes the fight on points by 35 to 17. An out of breath Ceph Alopodis thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
