Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Igor Byhenikov (ranked 15208 p4p, 558 weight class) and Azar Qasi (ranked 1816 p4p, 0 weight class). Byhenikov comes to the cage accompanied by Harbinger. The crowd seem to be enjoying Qasi's choice of entrance music: For Whom The Bell Tolls. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 8 losses; Igor Byhenikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 3 losses; Azar Qasi!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Byhenikov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Qasi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Byhenikov somewhat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Byhenikov or perhaps it was just good defense by Qasi, which made it look bad.

Qasi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Byhenikov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Qasi stacks Byhenikov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Qasi!

Qasi has his foot on Byhenikov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Byhenikov works his way back into a safe position though.

Qasi has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Qasi is in a bad position with Byhenikov working for a choke. Qasi manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
