Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Micha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Micha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micha avoids a punch combination nicely.

Gunn moves into the clinch successfully.
Gunn stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Gunn misses with a knee to the head.

Gunn breaks from the clinch.
Micha misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gunn pivots, looking for a leg kick but Micha is out of range and Gunn settles back down.

Micha will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Micha wants to stand up but Gunn is controlling him.

Micha really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gunn stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Gunn throws a series of punches but Micha moves out of range.
Gunn misses with a wild combination.
Gunn misses with a double jab.
Micha throws a body punch but Gunn moves out of range.
Micha will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Micha will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gunn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Micha circles away quickly and effectively.
Micha takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gunn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gunn lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Gunn darts in and clinches Micha up against the cage.

Gunn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Gunn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gunn doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Micha counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Gunn manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Micha in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gunn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Micha!

Gunn is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Micha paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Micha closes the distance and clinches up with Gunn, looking for a takedown. Micha pushes Gunn against the cage but Gunn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gunn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Micha regains guard immediately.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gunn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Micha moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gunn is in a horrible position here. Micha smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Micha rolls, trying to escape but Gunn keeps control of the position.

I would just about give that final round to Tommy Gunn.
Well Gunn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
