Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derek Duggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Jonathan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Can't Be Touched. Stan Jonathan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Derek Duggin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derek Duggin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stan Jonathan! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duggin tries for a takedown but Jonathan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Duggin pushes Jonathan up against the cage in a clinch. Jonathan stops a takedown attempt from Duggin.
Duggin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jonathan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Duggin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jonathan shoots for a takedown but Duggin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Duggin wants to clinch. Duggin lands with an overhand left. Nice defenses there by Jonathan. Duggin gets a clinch. Duggin breaks the clinch.
Duggin clinches. Jonathan prevents Duggin from breaking the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jonathan decides to pull guard. Jonathan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duggin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jonathan pulls Duggin in close to his closed guard and prevents Duggin from doing any damage or advancing position. Jonathan has a closed guard, preventing Duggin from standing up. Jonathan wants to sweep but no luck. Jonathan wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Duggin manages to pass to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jonathan is trying to stand back up but Duggin is controlling him
Duggin wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Duggin tries to clinch there but Jonathan circles away.
Jonathan keeps the fight on the outside. Jonathan tries to clinch up. Duggin tries to clinch but Jonathan moves away and Jonathan moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duggin takes an elbow to the forehead. Duggin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Duggin looking for a takedown. Duggin is trying to drag Jonathan to the mat but Jonathan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Duggin being controlled against the cage. Duggin fails to pull guard.
Duggin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Duggin tries to score a body lock takedown but Jonathan shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Duggin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jonathan stalling the fight.
Duggin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The is referee keeping an eye on Jonathan - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Duggin throws a knee to the head but misses.
Duggin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jonathan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Duggin successfully pulls guard.
Duggin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jonathan escapes and throws Duggin's legs to the side, diving into side control! Jonathan stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duggin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jonathan as he jumps to the side. Jonathan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Duggin takes a knee right on the jaw!
Duggin misses with a punch on the inside.
Jonathan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Derek Duggin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jonathan wants to clinch up but Duggin keeps it at a distance. Duggin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Duggin with a poor takedown and Jonathan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jonathan. Duggin is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jonathan is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stan Jonathan dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Duggin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jonathan swivels and escapes. Duggin throws a sloppy head kick and Jonathan moves out of range easily. Jonathan closes the distance and clinches. Jonathan connects with a nasty looking knee right to Duggin's face.
Duggin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Jonathan lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Duggin is rocked! Jonathan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Oh Duggin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jonathan manages to break the clinch.
Jonathan darts in and clinches Duggin up against the cage. Jonathan unloads a knee to the mid-section. Duggin lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Duggin takes an elbow to the temple. Jonathan working the clinch nicely. Duggin is working for position but Jonathan cracks him with a big knee to the head! Duggin crumples up against the cage and Jonathan lands two more shots before the ref can save Duggin! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Stan Jonathan!
