The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novikov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Novikov scores with a takedown into Jaws's guard.
Novikov has gone for a leg lock! Jaws slips out almost immediately though and dives into Novikov's guard.
Jaws trying to control the position from guard on top but Novikov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Novikov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jaws is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Novikov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jaws's back instead.
Jaws is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Novikov has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jaws has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Novikov has got one arm under Jaws's chin. This could be trouble... Jaws trying to control the other hand but Novikov gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Jaws has tapped out! The fight is over!
