Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Karol Tarczynski (ranked 3376 p4p, 378 weight class) and Simon Kanitz (ranked 10383 p4p, 581 weight class). Simon Kanitz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Karol Tarczynski's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 51 - 27 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Karol Tarczynski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Kanitz!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarczynski keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kanitz.
Tarczynski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Relentless Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Tarczynski steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kanitz.
Kanitz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tarczynski.
Tarczynski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kanitz connects with a nice looking jab.
Kanitz misses with a low kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tarczynski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kanitz has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Tarczynski takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Tarczynski takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kanitz is rocked!
Tarczynski moves out of range of the body kick.
Kanitz connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tarczynski's hands.
Tarczynski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tarczynski connects with a looping right hand.
Kanitz is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tarczynski is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Kanitz attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kanitz tries to land a leg kick but Tarczynski saw it coming and moves away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kanitz. That's going to slow Tarczynski down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Simon Kanitz will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tarczynski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kanitz's calf.

Kanitz scores with a hook to the body. Tarczynski takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Kanitz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kanitz throws a leg kick but Tarczynski sees it coming and moves out of range.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kanitz.
A slapping leg kick lands for Tarczynski.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tarczynski crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kanitz - the referee stops the clock and Tarczynski gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kanitz. Tarczynski manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kanitz does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A close second round but Simon Kanitz will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kanitz tries to move into range but Tarczynski moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tarczynski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kanitz is still on wobbly legs! Can Tarczynski finish him?
Tarczynski throws a jab but it's blocked by Kanitz.
Kanitz seems to have recovered his senses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tarczynski cracks Kanitz with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Kanitz is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Kanitz is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kanitz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tarczynski.
Tarczynski tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kanitz manages to circle out of the way.
Kanitz throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Tarczynski counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Kanitz onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.

Tarczynski motions for Kanitz to come forward. Tarczynski throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kanitz counters with a body kick.
Kanitz throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kanitz misses with an uppercut. Tarczynski saw that one coming.
Kanitz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
And Tarczynski counters with a quick kick to the body but Kanitz blocks it.

Kanitz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tarczynski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kanitz.
Tarczynski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice jab there from Tarczynski.
Tarczynski knocks out Kanitz with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Tarczynski before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Tarczynski picks up the big W with a huge KO!
