Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taga Sundo (ranked 6160 p4p, 534 weight class) and Randy Smalls (ranked 23892 p4p, 515 weight class). Randy Smalls will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taga Sundo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Smalls! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smalls throws a head kick that Sundo semi-blocks.
Smalls lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sundo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smalls at a distance.
Smalls with a jab. Sundo avoids the head kick by Smalls.
Smalls walks into a jab. Sundo avoids the head kick by Smalls.
Smalls tries to score with a low kick but Sundo moves his leg out of the way. Sundo tries to counter with a takedown but Smalls is quick to defend against it. Sundo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Smalls with a nice cross. Nice takedown defense from Smalls. No joy for Sundo on that attempt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sundo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Smalls throws a chopping leg kick but Sundo manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Sundo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smalls.
Smalls stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smalls wants it to stay on the feet. Smalls pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smalls stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sundo dives in for a single leg takedown but Smalls sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taga Sundo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smalls throws a leg kick and Sundo counters with a single leg into guard. Smalls didn't expect that. Sundo forces his way into half guard. Smalls wants to control but Sundo is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sundo is looking for a kimura but Smalls is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sundo to get the leverage. Smalls trying to control here.
Sundo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Smalls knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Sundo wants to stand up but Smalls is controlling the position.
Sundo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Sundo trying to control the action but Smalls is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smalls is trying to maintain the position but Sundo is very close to passing his half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smalls can do anything to dispel that myth. Smalls is looking to improve his position.
Sundo wants to control but Smalls is keeping him busy. Sundo wants to stand but Smalls has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Sundo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smalls defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smalls is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Smalls is controlling Sundo's position as best he can from this difficult position. Sundo tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Smalls.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smalls wants to get back to full guard. Sundo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sundo slips a straight right by Smalls. Sundo attempts a counter takedown but Smalls avoids it well and moves away. Smalls scores with a jab to the head.
Sundo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smalls as he jumps to the side. Smalls throws a low kick but Sundo moves out of range easily. Smalls throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sundo avoids the head kick by Smalls.

Some bone on bone action there as Sundo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. A head kick misses from Sundo. Sundo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smalls is trying to defend but Sundo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Sundo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Smalls is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
