Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Joseph Urlich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam Robinson! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Urlich tries for a takedown but Robinson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Robinson moves into the clinch. Robinson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Robinson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Urlich after a bit of a struggle. Robinson is trying to break the clinch but Urlich is controlling him. I was talking to Urlich's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Robinson wants to get back to striking at distance but Urlich won't allow it.
Robinson working hard to break the clinch. Robinson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Urlich is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robinson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Urlich pulls his leg out and moves away.
Joseph Urlich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Robinson. Urlich closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Robinson did well to prevent Urlich getting side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Urlich stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Robinson to get to his feet. Urlich manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Robinson on his heels. He'll look to pass Robinson's guard now, I'm sure. Urlich in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Urlich got a little sloppy there for a moment and Robinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Urlich has managed to get both his arms back between Robinson's legs - danger averted. Robinson keeping full guard, as Urlich tries to pass. Urlich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Urlich slips nicely into half guard. Robinson trying to control but Urlich postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Urlich decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Robinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Urlich tries to sprawl out of it but Robinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Urlich manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Robinson tries for a takedown but Urlich sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Robinson fails with the takedown and Urlich counters with a nice double leg into side control. Robinson won't be happy with that. Robinson looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Urlich in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Robinson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Urlich is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Robinson tries to buck Urlich off but he can't manage it. Robinson can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Urlich with a couple of short strikes. Robinson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Urlich sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Urlich unloading with bombs!
It looks like Liam Robinson has been cut. Robinson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That has opened up Liam Robinson's cut even more. Urlich looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Urlich working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Robinson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Urlich.
Urlich cracks Robinson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The cut above Liam Robinson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Liam Robinson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
