Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ramon Gracie (ranked 110 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azar Qasi (ranked 1826 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu Jitsu: Vai Finaliza!. Qasi has chosen For Whom The Bell Tolls as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Ramon Gracie! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Azar Qasi! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Qasi dives in and scores a takedown into Gracie's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Gracie (0) vs (2) Qasi Gracie has his hands on Qasi's head, controlling the position. Gracie seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Qasi sees it coming and defends easily. Qasi felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Gracie is keen to just control but Qasi is a slippery customer. Gracie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Qasi is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gracie is trying to control. Qasi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Qasi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Qasi. Qasi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.

Qasi uses his free foot to push down on Gracie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gracie. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gracie. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Gracie (9) vs (10) Qasi Qasi is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up. Gracie passes Qasi's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gracie prevents Qasi from improving his position. Qasi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gracie is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Qasi keeps trying to improve his position. Gracie content just to control the position here. Qasi is looking to get to half guard. Gracie controlling the position easily from mount. Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Qasi tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Qasi is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie works his way to his opponent's back.
