The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nogueira wants to clinch. Nogueira darts in and clinches Minarsich up against the cage. Nogueira drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Minarsich gets the underhooks and prevents it.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Minarsich has eaten all the pies! Minarsich wants to work for an arm triangle but Nogueira is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
