Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Valentin Skovgaard (ranked 2150 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Goose (ranked 3003 p4p, 0 weight class). Skovgaard kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Second Reality. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Horrible takedown attempt by Skovgaard or perhaps it was just good defense by Goose , which made it look bad. Goose wants to counter the offense by Skovgaard and move into the clinch position. Nice takedown defense from Goose . No joy for Skovgaard on that attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Skovgaard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valentin Skovgaard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Goose moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Skovgaard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goose pulls his leg out and moves away.

Skovgaard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goose avoids it really well and circles away. Goose closes the distance and clinches.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goose is trying to stick to Skovgaard's back but Skovgaard is turning into Goose . He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Goose 's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Skovgaard. Goose has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Skovgaard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goose swivels though and keeps the full guard. Skovgaard is working hard here to advance position.

Goose wants to sweep here but Skovgaard controlling him for the moment. Skovgaard passes Goose 's left leg - he's now in half guard. Skovgaard trying to control the action but Goose is working from the bottom.
